100% Gender Balanced People

To reach 100% gender balanced, we have introduced practices to ensure equal opportunities for all during hiring processes and succession planning. We provide individual development plans (IDPs) and clearly defined career paths to support the advancement of all associates. Transparent talent plans are in place to provide equal access to growth opportunities, and we foster mentorship and sponsorship programs to empower all associates to thrive and excel within our organization.

Each of our brands represents the unique character and needs of the communities they serve. This local approach would not be possible without our greatest asset, our brands’ great, local people. They are our colleagues, our neighbors, and our customers, and they represent all the vibrancy of the communities we serve. For us, fostering great local brands begins with building strong talent pipelines – attracting, developing and retaining the best people, who also reflect their communities. We do this through our Thriving People people promise: we create a caring place to work, that inspires growth and collaboration, where everyone is heard and valued and finds purpose in serving our brands’ communities. 

Community outreach is a fundamental part of our approach, supporting initiatives that address societal challenges and promote inclusivity. Through external partnerships, we collaborate with organizations that share our commitment to fostering inclusive practices and learning from best practices. 

We promote Business Resource Groups (BRGs) at Ahold Delhaize: voluntary, associate-led groups that serve as a valuable resource for both members and our businesses. BRGs support commercial activities, as well as development and inclusion of associates. BRGs may actively partner with the brands’ suppliers and relevant NGOs to further improve the business and educate and engage the community.

PAY EQUITY PRINCIPLES Inclusive Compensation

Ahold Delhaize, and each of its brands, recognize and support the right of every individual to receive equitable compensation for their work. In our Annual Report 2023 we disclosed a gender pay difference study based on 2023 gender pay difference figures.

We are proud of the progress we have made compared to our 2022 gender pay difference figures and will continue to perform pay equity studies for equal work.
